Recent Activities

* We revealed that STING, an essential protein for the type I interferon response against cytosolic DNA, is activated at the Golgi. The activation requires palmitoylation of STING. Our results may lead to new treatments for cytosolic DNA-triggered autoinflammatory diseases.
Please see Mukai et al., Nat Commun 2016 for the details.

* We developed a novel method to identify organelle-resident proteins, which is based on the proximity-dependent biotin identification method.
Please see Matsudaira et al., Nat Commun 2017 for the details.
