I was born and raised in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, and currently living in Sendai. I am enthusiastic about plant biology and particularly interested in how plants adapted to environmental changes from molecular and genetic perspective.
Career
May 2017 M.Sc. in Plant Biology, Graduate Program Department of Biology, IPB University, Indonesia.
Sept. 2020 Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Graduate School of Life Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan.
Oct. 2020 – Jul. 2022 Postdoctoral Researcher, Graduate School of Life Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan.
Aug. 2022 – present Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Life Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan.
(Nov. – Dec. 2022) Visiting Scholar, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark.

Recent Activities

My research focuses on plant-environment interactions. I conducting research to elucidate molecular mechanisms for climate adaptation in model legume plant, Lotus japonicus, controlled by natural variation. I also currently studying and conducting research on plant-microbe interactions, specifically to establish a synthetic microbial communities (SynComs) to elucidate the interactions between plant and associated-microbes.

Message to Students

Research is mostly not easy to find an answer. However, when we set our goals, embrace it with 100% effort, and then we will be able to create a beautiful story.
