公益財団法人大塚敏美育英奨学財団より2027年度奨学生の募集案内がありました。応募したい方は、2026年10月30日（金）までに生命科学研究科教務係へ応募書類を提出してください。締切までに間に合わない場合は、事前にご相談ください。
なお、2027年度に併給不可の他奨学金について受給決定の者については、原則として選考対象外としますのでご留意願います。
応募資格 ※詳細については募集要項を参照のこと
①専門分野：医歯薬学系分野、工学系分野
・医歯薬学・工学：博士後期または一貫制博士課程の者及び博士課程後期への進学を強く希望し、準備を進めている博士課程前期（修士）2年生（2027年4月時点）
・データサイエンス：医歯薬学・工学のいずれかの分野でデータサイエンスに関する研究をしている留学生
②国籍・地域：指定なし
③日本語能力：日本語を学ぶ意欲のある者
④その他財団が求める資格・要件：
・他の奨学金やLEAP等の研究奨励費との併給は不可。
・2027年4月現在で在籍残期間が1年以上ある者
・2027年4月1日時点で満38歳以下の人
・これまで直接応募で1度でも当財団の奨学生として採用されたことのある者、または過去に当財団に応募し不合格になった者は応募不可

金 額
年額200万円、150万円又は100万円（当財団選考委員会による評価に応じて決定）
給付期間
1年間(2027年4月~2028年3月）※継続申請を認めます（奨学期間は最長、最終目標とする学位取得までの最短学業年限まで）。

【留意事項】

The Otsuka Toshimi Scholarship Foundation has announced the application for the 2027 academic year. If you wish to apply, please submit all required documents to the Academic Affairs Section of the Graduate School of Life Sciences by Friday, October 30, 2026. If you cannot submit them by the deadline, please consult with us in advance.
Please note that applicants who have already been selected for another scholarship in 2027 AY that does not allow duplicate funding will, in principle, be excluded from the selection process.
Eligibility *Please refer to the Application Guidelines for full details..
(1) Fields of Study:
Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, or Engineering: Students currently in Doctoral programs (3-year or 5-year integrated doctoral programs), OR 2nd-year Master’s students (as of April 2027) who strongly intend and are actively preparing to enter a Doctoral program.
Data Science: International students conducting research in Data Science within Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, or Engineering.
(2) Nationality / Region: No restrictions.
(3) Japanese Proficiency: Students with a strong motivation to learn Japanese.
(4) Other Requirements:
- You cannot receive this scholarship concurrently with other scholarships or research financial support (such as LEAP, JSPS, etc.).
- Must have at least 1 year of remaining enrollment period as of April 2027.
- Must be 38 years old or under as of April 1, 2027.
- Anyone who has previously been awarded a scholarship through direct application to this foundation, or who has previously applied to this foundation and was not selected, is not eligible to apply.

Amount
2,000,000 JPY, 1,500,000 JPY, or 1,000,000 JPY per year (Determined based on the Foundation Selection Committee's evaluation).
Period
1 year (April 2027 – March 2028); Renewal applications are permitted (up to the minimum standard duration required to complete your degree).

Documents for submission:
- Scholarship Application Form: A4 size, single-sided printing (Attach photo).
*Section "⑤ Office in Charge of International Students" will be filled out by the International Support Office.
- Recommendation Letter: Written and sealed in an envelope by your academic advisor.
*Pay close attention to select the correct file/sheet based on your application status (New/Renewal) and major.
- Official Academic Transcripts: All transcripts from undergraduate level up to your current program.
- Certificate of Enrollment
- Certificate of Residence (Juminhyo)
*Original copy required (photocopies not accepted). Must not include your MyNumber.

Notes
- Please make sure to read the Q&A section in the guidelines carefully regarding eligibility and document requirements.
- The Application Form must be handwritten by the applicant (Only the Recommendation Letter may be typed on a computer).

- Online registration and photocopying will be handled by the International Support Office after nominees are selected. Please submit only one original set of documents.
