公益財団法人杜の邦育英会より2026年度外国人留学生奨学生の募集について案内がありました。応募したい方は、2026年6月19日（金）までに応募書類を生命科学研究科教務係に提出してください。締め切りに間に合わない場合は、事前にご相談ください。
なお、2026年度に併給不可の他奨学金について受給決定の者ならびに申請中（直接応募含む）の者については、原則として選考対象外としますのでご留意願います。

課程・年次：大学院に在学中の者（正規生）
日本語能力：日本語による意思伝達が可能な者（願書は英文不可、すべて日本語で作成する必要があります。また、面接も日本語で行われます。）
・他の奨学金との併給、併願可（国費は除く）
※LEAP等の研究奨励費との併給も可
※必ず願書の奨学金欄に記入
・学業・人物ともに優秀な者
・経済的理由により学資の支弁が困難な者
金 額： 14万円/月
※採用された学生の中で特別に成績が優秀かつ経済的な事情により修学が困難な者には、通常の奨学金給付額に月額3万円を加算して給付することがあります。
給付期間： 2026年4月 ～修了までの最短修業期間

The Mori no Kuni Scholarship Foundation has announced its call for applications for the 2026 AY International Student Scholarship. If you wish to apply, please submit the required application documents to the Academic Affairs Section of the Graduate School of Life Sciences by Friday, June 19, 2026. If you cannot meet the deadline, please consult with us in advance.
Please note that in principle, students who have already been selected for another scholarship that prohibits dual-receipt for 2026 AY, or who are currently applying for one (including direct applications), are not eligible for this scholarship.
Eligibility *Refer to the application guideline for details.
- Program/Year: Students currently enrolled in the Graduate School (Regular Students).
- Japanese Language Proficiency: Applicants must be able to communicate in Japanese. (Applications cannot be written in English and must be completed entirely in Japanese. Furthermore, the interview will also be conducted in Japanese.)
- Concurrent receipt and application with other scholarships are permitted (excluding MEXT/Government scholarships).
*Concurrent receipt with research stipends such as LEAP is also permitted.
*You must fill out the scholarship section on the application form.
- Applicants must be outstanding in both academic performance and personal character.
- Applicants must have difficulty paying for their tuition/educational expenses due to economic reasons.
Amount: 140,000 yen per month
*For selected students who demonstrate exceptionally outstanding academic records and severe financial hardship, an additional 30,000 yen per month may be added to the standard stipend.
Duration: From April 2026 until the shortest standard period required for graduation.

Application documents
- Scholarship Application Form (Prescribed Form): Forms 1-1/3, 1-2/3, 1-3/3, Form 2-B, Form 3, Form 4.
※Must be filled out entirely by hand by the applicant. English is not allowed; everything must be written in Japanese.
※Attach a profile photo (write your name on the back).
- Academic Transcript (Original): Please check the applicable program section under "6. Required Application Documents" -> "B. Academic Transcript" on page 1 of the Application Guidelines.
- Certificate of Enrollment (Original)
- Letters of Recommendation (2 copies): Free format. Please have two academic supervisors or chief professors write one letter each.
※Must be entirely handwritten by the recommender, marked as "Confidential" (親展), and sealed in an envelope. English is permitted for the recommendation letters.
- Resident Certificate (住民票) in Miyagi Prefecture: Must be issued from April 2026 onwards. Photocopies are not accepted.
※Must NOT include your Individual Number (My Number).
- List of Papers/Presentations Submitted to Academic Societies: Free format.
※Please include the submission date, title, name of the academic society, whether you are the first author, and whether it is peer-reviewed.
- Copy of Residence Card (Both Sides)
