To 1st-year Master's Program students,
The Division for Interdisciplinary Advanced Research and Education (DIARE) is accepting applications for the 2025 academic year for "DIARE Master's Students". The program is open to first-year master's students who meet the following requirements. Successful applicants will be provided with a scholarship and other support.
Eligibility:
Second-year Master's program students who, by the end of their first year, have earned at least 6 credits in courses designated by DIARE and who plan to continue their studies in the Ph.D. program.
Second-year Master's program students who, by the end of their first year, have earned at least 6 credits in courses designated by DIARE and who plan to continue their studies in the Ph.D. program.
* If a student selected as a DIARE Master's student decides to change his/her career path to employment, he/she will be considered to have lost his/her eligibility and may be asked to return a part of the fellowship, depending on the circumstances.
As a rule, students are required to enroll in the Ph.D. program at Tohoku University.
