公益財団法人SGH財団より2026年度私費外国人留学生奨学生、私費外国人留学生特定奨学生の募集について案内がありました。応募したい方は、2026年3月27日(金)までに応募書類を生命科学研究科教務係に提出してください。締め切りに間に合わない場合は、ご相談ください。

なお、2026年度に併給不可の他奨学金について受給決定の者ならびに申請中(直接応募含む)の者については、原則として選考対象外としますのでご留意願います。
応募資格等:※詳細は募集要項参照のこと

・    2026年4月1日現在で、下記年次に在籍する私費外国人留学生
  ①    博士前期課程(MC):1 年次
  ➁    博士後期課程(DC):2 年次
  ※    4月入学・進学者のみ対象(10 月入学・進学者は対象外)
・    東南アジア諸国の国籍を有する者
(フィリピン、インドネシア、シンガポール、マレーシア、タイ、ブルネイ、ベトナム、ミャンマー、ラオス、カンボジア、東ティモール)
・    日本語によるコミュニケーションが可能な者
・ 他の奨学金(国費も含む)との併給不可
・ 学内奨学金受給者の応募は可能、ただし併給は不可。採用時にどちらかを選択。
・ 大学院生向けの各種プログラム(旧RISE等)の研究奨励費との併給も不可
・ 財団主催の交流会、採用証書授与式に出席できる者

金  額: 12万円/月(MC); 18万円/月(DC)

給付期間: 2026年4月から2028年3月まで(2年間)

The SGH Foundation has announced the call for applications for the Privately Financed International Student Scholarship and the Privately Financed International Student Special Scholarship for the 2026 academic year. Those interested in applying should submit the application materials to the Academic Affairs Section of the Graduate School of Life Sciences by Friday, March 27, 2026. If you cannot meet the deadline, please contact us for consultation in advance.

Please note that those who have already been granted or are currently applying for other scholarships (including direct applications) for the 2026 academic year are generally not eligible for selection.

Eligibility: (Please refer to the application guidelines for details)

- Must be a privately financed international student enrolled in one of the following programs as of April 1, 2026:
 ・Master's Program (MC): 1st year
 ・Doctoral Program (DC): 2nd year
*Only students entering or advancing in April are eligible (students entering or advancing in October are not eligible).
‐ Must be a national of a Southeast Asian country: Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Timor-Leste
- Must be able to communicate in Japanese.
- Cannot receive other scholarships (including government-sponsored scholarships) concurrently.
- Applicants who are receiving university scholarships may apply, but cannot receive both concurrently. If selected, you must choose one.
- Cannot be received at the same time as research incentives from various programs for graduate students (such as the former RISE program).
- Must be able to attend the foundation-sponsored exchange meeting and award ceremony.

Scholarship Amount:
           Master's Program (MC): 120,000 yen/month
           Doctoral Program (DC): 180,000 yen/month

Scholarship Period: From April 2026 to March 2028 (2 years)

(3) Concerning the possibility of aquiring a degree (Only for DC students, must be filled out and sealed by the academic advisor)
(4) Copy of Residence Card (both sides)
(5) Academic Transcript (From the Undergraduate course to the most recent one)

(7) Certificate of Enrollment
(8) Personal Financial Statement
(9) Checklist regarding applying for private scholarships.

- The required forms and number of pages vary depending on your current enrollment status as of April. Please be careful.
- All application documents must be completed in block letters, handwritten with a black pen. *Applications written with blue ink or erasable pens will not be accepted.
- All application documents must be printed on one side of the paper.
